The state and the public are equally important for each other. Therefore, the access to public sector information is the basic right of every citizen. Access to information in democratic process is very important to ensure good Governance, transparency, accountably. This will enhance public trust on government institutions. To empower the public it is essential to have an effective RTI law and its implementation at provincial level. Balochistan Freedom of Information act 2005 does not fulfill the needs and do not provide complete access to the information to government agencies. CPDI and WEB are jointly organizing a press briefing at Press Club Bolan to demand for an effective RTI law in Balochistan.
